SPIRALS

SPIRALS
The spiral, rather than a symbol, is a natural form that we turn into a symbol.

A geometric form of organisation of two or more forces. The water in a sink organices itself to escape in an orderly manner. Stars flow in spirals. Life takes place in situations that are repeated, as the oracular language of the I Ching draws well, where the moon is a symbol of constancy, understood as the punctuality with which the cycles that mark the passage of life in its perpetual evolution are repeated. In the same way, the spiral draws circles in a progressive and mathematical movement.

This enigmatic spiral that appears in nature, was drawn by all civilisations and constantly by pre-Columbian cultures until it became a "sign". The whole organization of existence in the Andean region as well as in the Taoist universe was subject to cycles. Yin Yang and Urin Hanan were very close in their meaning.
